Despite its almost universal popularity both in Israel and around the world, the original words of Maoz Tzur no longer reflect the feelings and beliefs that many of us hold. Here’s the version that we use at Or Hamidbar, which Rabbi David created back in the 90’s. It can be sung to the classical melody both in Hebrew and English.
